Week 24 & 25 (I'm a slacker)

I completely forgot to do my update last week. Work has been busy and I've just been tired! So we'll do 24 & 25 together!
How far along? 24 weeks / 25 weeks
How big is the peanut? Papaya / Eggplant
Total weight gain/loss? 170lbs / 171lbs. I'd be very happy if I stopped gaining now, but I know that won't happen. I'm going to stop looking at the scale soon 
Maternity clothes? Yep, maybe 1 or 2 non-maternity pants
Sleep? last week & this week I have been sleeping horribly. My hips are killing me and I have to move every 30-60 minutes, and when you are this big, you can't move w/o waking up
Best moment this week? Joe finally felt her move! I was laying in the bedroom and on my left side, she was kicking something fierce. He jumped a little when he felt her move, he thought I just pushed my stomach out. He felt 2 kicks and the look on his face was priceless. He has been emailing baby (like the Google commercial) and I'm sure he emailed her this
Symptoms? A little icky 1st trimester blah feelings a few days last week
Food cravings? Everything (see weight gain above)
Food aversions? Nothing (see weight gain above)
Gender? Baby girl!
Labor signs? Nope! Although I do think I've had some braxton hicks but not enough for me to stop and really think much of it
Belly button in or out? Flat but less out than last week. The top part is the only "out" part
Movement? Lots! Kicks, punches, flips. You name it, she does it about 4 times a day. I love it! At first it felt very weird, still does sometimes. It still takes my breath away every time. My mother-in-law saw my belly move last night when we were over there
Wedding rings on or off? On but getting tight
What I miss? Sleep, I guess I better get use to not getting any for awhile
What I'm looking forward to? We have an ultrasound this Thursday and then my gluclose test :-( but then we are going out for dinner, sushi! I hate fish so I'll be having tempura seafood
Milestones? We reached V-Day (24 weeks)! If baby was born now (no ideas baby!) the doctors would do everything to make her survive. With today being Labor Day, I want NO SIGNS of LABOR!
Bump? And both are with makeup! What a treat. Week 24 is before we went to a family wedding and week 25 is when we were going to Taste of Melrose, we got baby girl a onesie she'll be wearing there next year

How far along? 23 weeks

How big is the peanut? A papaya

Total weight gain/loss? 23lbs :-( at least I'm consistent with the # of weeks I am

Maternity clothes? Yep, there are maybe 2 or 3 pairs of lounge pants that are not maternity and I bought 2 non-maternity long sleeved shirts from Goodwill yesterday

Sleep? Not good, I'm so tired when I wake up even when I've slept 8 hours, it's just not quality sleep

Best moment this week? Seeing Tony Bennett in concert at Ravinia. It was not comfortable in those bag chairs but it was fun

Symptoms? Just tired, a few days of just ickyness
Food cravings? Nothing in particular

Food aversions? Nothing

Gender? Girl!!

Labor signs? Nope

Belly button in or out? Pretty flat and the top has popped out

Movement? Yep and this little girl likes to kick or punch straight down and hit my bladder. I've already had a few "accidents" this past week! Joe still hasn't felt her yet. I know you can feel from the outside because I see my belly moving but she stops moving when I call him over to feel

Wedding rings on or off? On. Not tight, but not loose like they use to be

What I miss? Quality sleep and being able to get up quickly 

What I'm looking forward to? We have a wedding next Saturday and I can't wait to wear my new cute maternity dress. I'll miss not drinking at the wedding but it'll be fun to see family with this bump

Milestones? V-day is next week!

22 weeks

How far along? 22 weeks

How big is the peanut? Size of a papaya

Total weight gain/loss? 165 up 20 :-(

Maternity clothes? 90% of the time

Sleep? Hips have been killing me. I got a body pillow yesterday, can't wait to try it tonight!

Best moment this week? Seeing my stomach move when she kicks! It is the coolest, weirdest feeling! So hard to explain but it's almost like your stomach is dropping, like when you're on a roller coaster. 

Symptoms? Pretty good this past week. Not super hungry like I was last week.

Food cravings? Anything and everything sounds good.

Food aversions? Nothing

Gender? GIRL!!

Labor signs? Heck no

Belly button in or out? The top is starting to stick out, it looks funny!

Wedding rings on or off? On

Movement? Yep! Joe hasn't felt her move yet but he's seen my belly moving. This little girl is smart, every time I put my hand on my stomach or I call her dad over, she stops moving!

What I miss? Sitting comfortably, when I'm sitting watching TV for more than 20 minutes, I look like I'm 90 when I get up

What I'm looking forward to? Nothing specific this week, my 22 week appointment and going to see Tony Bennett at Ravinia this weekend

Milestones? Still no stomach issues! 

Bump? No makeup this week and Joe took a picture with my new cell, I don't like it, back to the camera next week. 

21 Weeks

How far along? 21 weeks

How big is the peanut? Size of a banana

Total weight gain/loss? 165 up 20 :-(

Maternity clothes? 80% of the time

Sleep? Pretty good, I need to get a body pillow ASAP

Best moment this week? Telling my grandpa we are having a girl and that her middle name will be my grandma's (his wife's) name. We were at breakfast in Milwaukee on Sunday morning. I put the ultrasound picture in the middle of a piece of paper, on the top I put "It's a Girl" and on the bottom we put her full name. Once he open the paper and saw her middle name, he burst into tears. Then I started crying, then my cousin did, then my stepmom did. We were all such a mess but it was priceless!

Symptoms? Some heartburn and sometimes just that old overall yucky feeling I had in 1st trimester

Food cravings? Everything!

Food aversions? Nothing really

Gender? GIRL!!

Labor signs? Heck no

Belly button in or out? Flatter and more sensitive

Wedding rings on or off? On

Movement? Yep and sometimes I can feel her from the outside but every time I tell Joe to come feel, she stops moving!

What I miss? Sleeping on my back, I slept like a baby when I slept on my back.  

What I'm looking forward to? I ordered a bunch of clothes from Kohl's, some 3 months up to 9 months and I can't wait to see them. She's getting a bit of a wardrobe already. 

Milestones? I am finally off the steroids! And so far no stomach issues (knock on wood)

20 Weeks, It's A GIRL!!!!

OH MY GOD we are so excited! Joe wanted a girl so bad. I had a feeling it was a girl for about the first 15 weeks or so, then I started having boy dreams. The baby 

How far along? 20 weeks

How big is the peanut? Size of a cantaloupe

Total weight gain/loss? I bought a digital scale (finally) and it said 162 first thing in the morning (after using the potty), that's up 17 from my starting weight, I'm ok with it I guess.

Maternity clothes? Yep

Sleep? This week has been weird. One night I sleep so good and only getting up once a night. Other nights, I'm tossing and turning and peeing 3 times a night. 

Best moment this week? Finding out we are having a baby girl!! Her name is Arianna June!! We also got a bunch of deliveries this week. Our stroller, car seat, crib, dresser/changer, and Angelcare monitor from my parents. Joe put it together today, yea!! I'm glad we put it up this soon because the dog kind of crept into the 2nd bedroom. She'll need time to adjust to all of this, she's been our baby for the last 5 years.

What I miss? Just be able to do stuff. Today I went grocery shopping, did laundry, vacuumed, helped Joe put the crib together. I was cramping a little but I just couldn't move around as fast as I use to. I always have 2-4 projects going on all the time and I get them done quickly. Now it's just taking me a little longer. 

What I'm looking forward to? Going to Wisconsin State Fair on Saturday. I can't believe it's almost August! 4 more months till we meet this little angel!!

Milestones? We're 1/2 baked & movement! And the doctor said everything looks great! We had a level 2 ultrasound because of the steroids I'm on

19 weeks & Purchases

How far along? 19 weeks

How big is the peanut? Size of a mango

Total weight gain/loss? I'm sticking to 160 but we did finally order a digital scale from Amazon

Maternity clothes? Yep

Sleep? Sleeping pretty good, waking up once before midnight to pee and then about a 1/2 an hour before my alarm goes off

Best moment this week? So much movement and it stops me in my tracks every time! Every time I tell Joe that the baby is moving, he comes over to try and feel and the look on his face is priceless! I can't wait till he can start feeling kicks!

Gender? 3 more days till we find out! Joe keeps saying a girl, I'm feeling a boy.

Movement? Yep!

What I miss? Being able to walk for long periods. The dog and I use to go on an hour hour long walk, now I'm tired after 20 minutes. Poor dog is bored and getting fat!

What I'm looking forward to? 20 week ultrasound in 3 days and my parents were in town this weekend, they bought us our crib, dresser/changing table, mattress, stroller, car seat, Angelcare monitor, baby monitor, and a baby carrier. It's so real now!!

Milestones? Hitting 19 weeks!

18 Weeks & movement!

How far along? 18 weeks

How big is the peanut? Size of a sweet potato 

Total weight gain/loss? My crappy scale still says 160, I need to order a digital scale from Amazon soon.

Maternity clothes? Yep

Sleep? Back has been hurting this past week and last night my right hip was killing me, so sleep hasn't been quality.

Best moment this week? I'm almost sure I am feeling flips, they are different than the brushes I was feeling for the past 2 weeks, these are like blips and go from side to side or will be right by my belly button.

Symptoms? Aggg, I had a 24 stomach bug or food poisoning last Thursday night. I haven't thrown up this whole pregnancy, I think I make up for it in a 4 hour stretch. I laid in bed all day Friday with my work computer and alternated between working and sleeping. Felt much better by Saturday afternoon. 

Food cravings? Not craving anything specific, it all looks and tastes good!

Food aversions? Nothing really.

Gender? 10 more days till we find out!!

Labor signs? Heck no

Belly button in or out? The top is starting to flatten out. Already?

Wedding rings on or off? On

Movement? Yep, not kicks or anything yet but definitely flips.

What I miss? Not looking fat. Still having this double bump (a bump above my belly button and one below), I just look fat, not really pregnant. Maybe I do look pregnant to other but to me, not so much. 

What I'm looking forward to? My parents are coming into town this weekend for my dad's 60th birthday, we are going to take then downtown Chicago and do a boat tour and to navy Pier (every year my dad either wants to go to navy Pier, The Bean, or Buckingham Fountain!) and our 20 week ultrasound on July 27th!

Milestones? Hitting 18 weeks!
